Sage Advocacy's Executive Director, Sarah Lennon, joined Galway Talks with Keith Finnegan on Galway Bay FM to discuss the impact that the continued closure of adult day centres is having on thousands of people across the country.

Ms Lennon said adult day centres play a vital role in providing extra support to older people to continue living in their own homes by accessing important health and social services in their own communities.

Sage Advocacy has urged the Government to deliver a road map for the re-opening of adult day centres.

Ms Lennon said while there has been detailed information provided about the re-opening after lockdown on other aspects of life, the people who use adult day centres are still waiting to hear about when these vital services will re-open.
