In circumstances where people may be vulnerable, or have to depend on others, there is a need to ensure that their rights, freedoms and dignity are promoted, protected and defended. Through support and advocacy the will and preference of a person can be heard and acted on; independently of family, service provider or systems interests.

Sage Advocacy is a support and advocacy service for vulnerable adults, older people and healthcare patients. We are currently recruiting Regional Coordinators for North Dublin & North-East and for the Midlands to join a core group of 20 staff and over 100 volunteers.

The primary purpose of the Regional Coordinator is to grow awareness of Sage Advocacy and its services at regional level, to lead on complex advocacy cases (including patient advocacy) supported by case management, safeguarding, legal, financial and clinical expertise, and to ensure effective local management of Sage Advocacy services.

These appointments are for an initial period of 12 months and are subject to availability of funding. The salary is currently €45,000 per year and there are 25 days annual leave.
