Information Event for Volunteers Cork May 8, 2017

Time: 3:00 PM

Location: St. Lukes Home, Cork

Sage are currently recruiting for Support Person Volunteers

The role of a Support Person can include

  • Raising awareness of Sage and the services we provide in local communities
  • Linking people with the services that they need
  • Working one-to-one with someone during a vulnerable time in their lives
  • Visiting day centres, hospitals and care settings to create an awareness of Sage

To find out more about this volunteering role, come along to our coffee evening, on Saturday 8th April at 3pm

The underlying principle of all independent support and advocacy is to facilitate people in speaking for themselves and in articulating their own needs. This includes supports at various points along a continuum which includes the provision of information, assistance with negotiating health and social care pathways and engaging in representative advocacy with or on behalf of people.

If you would like to register your interest in these roles for 2017 contact Helen Fitzgerald, Recruitment & Information Coordinator, for more information helen.fitzgerald@sage.thirdageireland.ie
